Heat Tolerant Blends
To meet the ever growing need for high performance turfgrasses that can stand up against heat, wear, disease, and other challenges in our "transition zone," we have developed our heat tolerant Southern Lawn Xtreme. Southern Lawn Xtreme is a combination of turf type fescues with Thermal Blue grass, which has the ability to perform under the critical pressures of heat and humidity often present in our area.
What is Thermal Blue?
Thermal Blue is a hybrid technology of blue grasses that stand up to heat extremely well, particularly in the South, and show outstanding shade tolerance. Thermal Blue resists brown patch and other diseases. It has aggressive rhizome development and excellent wear tolerance. With a fine leaf texture and a four-season color in the southern regions, Thermal Blue surpasses any other bluegrass variety available.

Establishment
Cut your seeding rates by 25% compared to traditional tall fescue seeding. Recommended bare ground seeding rate is 4 to 8 lbs. per 1000 sq.ft. Overseeding rate is 3 lbs per 1000 sq.ft.
Maintenance
Maintain at a 2.5 to three inch cutting height. Ask your Turf and Gardening Store representative for a copy of our annual maintenance program.
